Introduction

Thank you for your interest in Rafik Hariri University (RHU)! To complete your online application, you must fulfill four key steps:

If you do not receive an update on your application status within 10 working days of submission, please contact the Admissions Office via email at admissions@rhu.edu.lb.

Important Notice: Scanned and uploaded documents are not considered original. You will be required to submit the original documents in person to the Admissions Office at a later stage.

Application Process and Guidelines

Applicants must create a new account to log in and access the online undergraduate application. Please note the following:

• Use a laptop, desktop, or iPad for optimal usability.
• For the best experience, use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
• All required fields must be completed before proceeding; incomplete pages cannot be saved.
• Review the application carefully and ensure all supporting documents are submitted.

Academic Requirements

• Official high school records from the last three years. If final-year grades are unavailable at the time of application, email them to admissions@rhu.edu.lb as soon as they are issued.
• A certified copy of your official high school diploma (Lebanese Baccalaureate, Technical Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, or equivalent), when available.
• A certified copy of the official Lebanese High School Equivalence Certificate for non-Lebanese degrees (when available), issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Education.
• Official university transcript along with the university catalog (for transfer students only).

Personal Data Requirements

• Original Civil Status Record (Lebanese applicants) — scan and upload a clear copy.
• Copy of Lebanese ID (Lebanese applicants).
• Passport copy and residence permit or ID (non-Lebanese applicants).
• Three identical recent passport-sized color photos — upload one.

Examination Requirements

To prove English language proficiency, applicants must submit one of the following official scores:

• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
• IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
• SAT

The RHU In-House TOEFL Exam can substitute the above requirement (except for Freshman applicants, who must submit SAT). Check with the Admissions Office or the RHU website for minimum required scores.

Additional Documents for Freshman Applicants

Freshman students must also submit:

1. A certified copy of the permission from the Equivalence Committee of the Lebanese Ministry of Education to enroll in the Freshman Program.
2. One of the following minimum scores in an aptitude test before enrolling:

Freshman Program Equivalency Requirements

If your high school is accredited by one of the following recognized accrediting boards, you will qualify for sophomore admission upon successful completion of the Freshman Program and obtaining equivalency from the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education:

• Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
• Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
• AdvancED (Cognia)
• New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
• North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (NCASC)
• Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools (NACS)
• Council of International Schools

If your school is not accredited by one of the boards listed above, you must also submit:

1. ACT Subject Tests during your Freshman year at RHU and before advancing to the Sophomore year.

Required subjects:

• Freshman Arts: Mathematics I + any two additional subjects.
• Freshman Sciences: Mathematics II + any two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics.

Minimum Required Scores (ACT Subject Tests)

1. Freshman Arts: minimum total score of 51 with at least 15 in each subject.
2. Freshman Sciences: minimum total score of 60 with at least 17 in each subject.

Lebanese students will not be able to declare a major and join the sophomore class before satisfying the requirements set by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and RHU Freshman requirements.

Financial Requirements

Application Fee: $30 (non-refundable)

Payment Methods:

1. On Campus (Mechref)
   1. Visit the Admissions Office to obtain your student ID number.
   2. Proceed to the Finance Office for payment.
2. Off Campus — Any BankMed Branch
   1. Submit the Bank Application Fee Payment Form received via email after applying online.
